Facilitator Request for Academic Events

(Department/University Meetings, Program Orientations, etc.)

Requests should be submitted at least two business days in advance to allow us time to process the request and find a facilitator.

What do facilitators support?

The setup and facilitation of broadcasted (IVC or Zoom) academic events, including:

  • The setup and operation of local classroom technology (e.g., computers, cameras, microphones, control systems, etc.)
  • Zoom:
    • Room connection to Zoom meeting
    • In-meeting management (including managing participants, securing the meeting, and assisting with breakout groups)
    • Recordings
  • In-meeting troubleshooting
  • Best-effort remote support for remote attendees (the IT Service Desk provides full remote support and facilitators may direct individuals to them)

What do facilitators NOT support?
