Helpful Room Hints
Key required after 5:00 PM
When you are finished facilitating in this room, please ensure the doors into EDUC 385 are locked and not propped open (the conference room doors should not be locked – just the doors into EDUC 385).
Room Computer
Do not type in your A number and password on this computer! Please follow the instructions that are listed on the frame of the computer monitor.
Document Camera
The Document Camera is located to the right of the Facilitator Computer. Pressing the glowing button on the stand of the camera will turn it on. Red means it is currently off, Blue means it is currently on.
To share the document camera, turn the document camera on, then open the application on the computer's desktop. The icon for the application is a picture of white "IM" letters on a blue background, shown here. Then share the PC source on the Touch 10.
Known Issues
If the camera selfview is black, start up a chat.
Kaltura is trying to steal the video even though it is not open. Open Kaltura and select the instructor camera as the video source. Then open the document camera application (IM). Select the LX1 when prompted for a camera input. The document camera will then work. At this point you may close Kaltura. If you close the document camera application by accident with Kaltura closed you will have to repeat the process above to bring the document camera feed. If that doesn't work for you please start up a chat.
